This policy describes how the Astro Week website and Android app collect, use, retain and protect information.

When you visit this website
Our hosting and network providers process connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site. The site does not use advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or marketing cookies. Assets and fonts are served locally.
When you contact us or request deletion
We process your contact email, an optional account identifier, optional note, request reference and processing timestamps to review, verify and fulfil your request. We do not use these details for marketing. We ask for enough information to verify ownership before deleting account data; never send a password or authentication token.
The Android app
The Android app processes a birth date, zodiac sign, selected interests, display name, language, time zone, session identifier, cached forecasts and optional journal entries to provide personalized daily and weekly astrology content. Google Sign-In may provide a name, email address and account identifier when the user chooses that sign-in method. The app can also be used as a guest.
The backend creates an anonymous or Google-linked identity and may store profile fields, journal entries, forecasts, AI follow-up requests, notification preferences and content reports. Firebase provides analytics, crash reporting and push notifications. Analytics events are filtered to exclude birth dates, names, email addresses, journal text, AI prompts and responses, session tokens and report text. OpenAI receives the user's AI follow-up question together with derived astrological fields, scores, language, time zone and selected interests to generate an answer and forecast copy; it does not receive the user's name, email address, Google account identifier, raw birth date or journal entries. Astro Week does not show advertising and does not sell personal information.
Why we process information
We process information to provide requested services, respond to support and rights requests, maintain security and meet applicable obligations. The legal basis depends on the request and applicable law, including providing a requested service, legitimate interests in secure operation, and legal obligations.
Service providers and security
Hosting, network and email providers may process information to operate these services. Infrastructure is not the same as advertising. We do not sell your information. Service providers include Cloudflare for network security and delivery, our infrastructure hosting provider, Google Firebase for analytics, crash reporting and notifications, Google Sign-In for optional authentication, and OpenAI for generating forecast copy from derived astrological fields. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and may process it in countries where they operate.
Production deployment requires valid HTTPS between your browser or app and the service. Access to the database and request queue is restricted. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.
Retention
Active server records remain while needed to provide the service, until verified deletion or another applicable removal requirement. Routine database backups are configured to expire after 30 days. Application and website logs are configured for no more than 30 days. Support mailbox messages are retained only as long as needed to answer the request and ordinarily for no longer than 12 months, unless a longer period is required for security or legal obligations.
Deletion-request email and free text are cleared on closure. Pending requests are closed and personal details cleared after 90 days. Minimal closed request records are removed after 30 days; completed account identifiers are kept during that interval solely for recovery safety. Backup restoration requires applying completed deletions before reopening the service.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction or deletion, and raise other rights available under your local law by contacting support. You may also have a right to complain to your local data protection authority. Use the deletion form without reinstalling the app. Where an authenticated app deletion action is provided, it deletes data for the signed-in identity. Clearing phone storage alone does not delete server records.
Age and children
Astro Week is intended for people aged 18 and older. If you believe a child below this age has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and remove it.
Policy updates
We update this page when practices change and display the revision date above. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate service channels before they take effect where required.
